Inspired by our partnership with the Eden Project and Natural England’s Responsible Recreation project, we’ve worked with our coalition of local partners to develop some principles of responsible use of our PGP Hull site. This document will continue to evolve – but will help us preserve our site for the benefit of all in our community.
Do
- Always take litter with you, or use the bins in the classroom
- Clear up after your dogs, and do not let them on site when children are present.
- Leave the gate as you find it
- Look, listen, smell and touch* – don’t taste.
Don’t
- Drop litter
- Light fires (unless using the paddock fire pit)
- Throw any objects which may damage the green houses
- Eat any of the plants or foliage on site
- Cut any trees, snap any branches or damage any plants
*Check with an adult first!
We’d love to evolve this list to keep our Botanic Gardens in the best condition possible. If you have ideas for further additions, let the Playful Green Hull Team know.
